Glorious Food for Take-Away or Home Delivery

Are you tired of your own cooking? Never fear, Adelaide's best restaurants are still here!

All eateries aren’t allowed to have any diners until restrictions are lifted, but it doesn’t mean they're all closed! When we think of “take-away or delivery”, you may opt for fast food such as KFC, Maccas or Hungry Jacks - even pizza, fish and chips, burgers or yiros.
But remember the great times you had sitting at a nice restaurant being served several dishes for your gourmet meal? Where the chefs have lovingly sourced the best produce to cook with and to serve to you in a stylish arrangement?
Many restaurants are still open for either pick-up or delivery and have also included “heat and eat” style meals to their menu. They are trying to retain staff and keep their business afloat during these difficult times. So if you're hungry, try to support your local restaurants/eateries, they will appreciate your patronage.
Always check if you can order straight from the restaurants themselves to allow them to retain most of their profits.
Please comment on the article if you have any other suggestions for us all, happy feasting 😊
Here are a few of my favourite places to eat:
Africola (African)
4 East Terrace, City, 8223 3885, africola.com.au
This restaurant is a favourite in SA, where you would need to book in advance to get a table on any given night. Take advantage of their modified menu of delicious hearty African food and great selection of wines for $30 per bottle for pick up or delivery.

Concubine (Chinese)
132 Gouger Street, City, 8212 8288, facebook.com/Concubine-156904914333911/
Awarded Best Chinese in Adelaide for Excellence in 2018, Concubine has their full menu on offer but at 20% off to be enjoyed at home! Check out their Facebook page as they regularly post photos on their gourmet creations. Their kitchen is open every night of the week.
Order by phone, Deliveroo or UberEats
Wasai (Japanese)
1/9-15 Field Street, City, 8221 6606, facebook.com/wasaijapanese/
Japanese cuisine is known for its freshness and simplicity. It is one of three national food traditions that is part of UNESCO, the United Nation’s cultural organisation, meaning the washoku way of eating is vital to the survival of the traditional culture. Wasai are also offering 20% off their take away menu and you can collect your meal kerbside.
Order by phone or UberEats
Parwana Afghan Kitchen (Afghani)
124B Henley Beach Road, Torrensville, 8442 9001, parwana.com.au
One of my favourite foods to eat are dumplings, and their carrot and sautéed onions stuffed dumplings topped with a lamb mint sauce dressed with garlic yoghurt known as mantu are a delectable delight. A simple, small menu but you will not be disappointed with any of their dishes.
Order by phone
Stamps Restaurant (Australian)
12A Welbourne St, Mitcham, 8272 8815, stampsrestaurant.com.au
This boutique restaurant is wonderful in service as is the quality of their food. Try their food, and you will want to dine in their restaurant once the restrictions have lifted! They have created a small ‘take home to fridge or freeze’ on their takeaway menu and food can be collected 7 days of the week from 5.00pm -7.30pm.
Order by phone
Orso & Willmott’s Panty (European)
36 Kensington Rd, Rose Park, 8364 1008, orsokensington.com.au
Orso offers a sophisticated takeaway menu for hot food including a couple of extravagant ‘Feed Me Feasts & Bundles’ by a team of expert chefs. But the bonus of this restaurant is that it is a joined to Willmott’s Panty which offer ‘heat and eat later’ meals and also pantry staples you can add to your order such as oil, sugo, beans and condiments. Free delivery within 5kms.
